#MambaMentality! I do not know how the powers that be will decide the Rookie of the Year, but you all know I am going to go with Arike. It is certainly more difficult to argue after the career night she had against the Los Angeles Sparks. I mean, they threw everyone at her to try to get her to slow down. Listen,Collier is doing a great job and she has been steady and an All-Star. It is just more difficult for me to argue against the numbers. Arike is now seventh in scoring and she has a lot more weight to carry than Collier does. Plus, I am a homer so I am going to ride and die with mine. I mean if the Wings were competing at the top of the league we would not only be talking about Rookie of the Year but also MVP. She has had to learn so much more on the go without as much mentoring as Collier is receiving up in Minnesota. I am so excited that Dallas took the chance and drafted her because her future is even brighter. Currently, she is playing out of position. I am not sure what the Wings will do going forward to have that veteran PG. I cannot shake the feeling that this Wings squad will be completely shaken up by the start of next season. My heart still aches from the loss of Courtney Paris, Amanda Zahui B, Aerial Powers and Theresa Plaisance over the years. It is good to see these players flourish on other teams but I miss them. However, having a talent like Ogunbowale makes the loss a little easier as she is an important piece this team can build its future around. Let me hear your thoughts @WNBALove on the Twitter.
